Waterlily cowl and gloves
COWL AND GLOVES WATERLILY
For my designs I always use a plant or flower, that reminds me of the person I design for. This design is made for a friend. The flower I have chosen for her is the waterlily. This reminds me of our profession, I work in the water sector, and especially groundwater is my daily business. With my feet in the mud and always surrounded by water, is what I am and my friend too, but also this defines the waterlily. Also, one of the waterlily species, the lotus is in many religions like Hinduism and Buddhism, a symbol of beauty, all things pure and prosperity. The Lotus is symbol of personal growth and a new beginning. The colours of this design are choses for the colours of water in its natural state, blue sometimes green. The style is based on the Selbu knitting from Norway.
