This is an, intermediate level pattern. But beginners can, and have successfully attempted it with the help of detailed instructions and pictures. In a workshop done in my friends circle, a group of ladies having different skill levels have made it beautifully.
Double knit yarn and 3.5 mm hook is used overall for a solid 3d effect .
Guage in not so important. it is fine if your flowers , leaves or doilies are different in size from mine, but it is crucial to use SAME size hook for every piece to achive an overall harmony.
I will suggest to start each flower with a new ball of yarn to avoid joints. Original colours are recommended, but feel free to experiment with different combos if you are happy with it.

I have based this runner on a net pic for which I can not find any pattern, graph or any other mode of instructions. So I experimented with different techniques and came up with this pattern. Though all the pictures and instructions found in the pattern are my original work.
