Waterloo Sunset
This is a triangle shaped shawl, knit from top down, increasing stitches at the center of the shawl and both sides.
Yarn choice: This shawl looks beautiful in fingering, sock, DK and even bulky weight yarn (like Plotulopi, for example).
Needle size depends on the yarn picked. Use a needle that produces a fabric you are happy with!
Markers: 2 stitch markers for marking the center stitch.
Yardage:
For a shawlette, you would need approximately 300m of yarn;
For a medium size shawl – approximately 500-600m (550-650 yards) of yarn;
For a large size shawl – approximately 600-940m (655-1025 yards) of yarn, depending on yarn and gauge.
This is a charted pattern.
This pattern has been test knitted in a variety of yarns, thanks to my fantastic test knitters!
