Embroidery Floss: If you’re making just one pair for yourself, it’s more cost-effective, and you won’t have extra yarn lying around that you might not use. I recommend buying 2 skeins of the main color, 1 white, 1 edge color, and 1 detail color.

Crochet Thread: If you’re making multiple pairs as gifts, it might be more cost-effective to buy crochet thread. If you already work with crochet thread, you may already have some on hand.

I used a mix of both in my photos. The red and white were crochet thread from my stash. I didn’t have any orange, so I bought embroidery floss.
