Watermelon Booties
Sweet, sweet watermelon – so good in the summer … or anytime really!
Watermelon Booties are knitted completely seamlessly in the round. The “seeds” are either knitted right in using stranded colourwork or added as beads. Make them with or without i-cord (or ribbon) ties – the inner ribbed cuff makes them fit snugly even without ties. These make perfect new baby, shower, birthday, or holiday gifts and are great for making use of those beautiful sock yarn leftovers.

GAUGE | TENSION:
Gauge is not critical, but it will affect the finished size of the booties. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric.
Approx. 32 sts = 4” | 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
SKILLS NEEDED:
Techniques include knit, purl, increases and decreases, knitting in the round, casting on, binding off, stranded colourwork or knitting with beads.
