This little watermelon slice makes a cute key chain or bag charm. As this only uses small amounts of yarn, it is a super stash-busting project to use up odds and ends. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the fruity slice is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a handful of toy filling, toy safety eyes, and a split ring keychain.

SIZES
One size only - 8cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include seaming, changing colours to knit stripes, and k2tog decreases.
