Watermelon Kippah

A Jewish Symbol of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Between 1967 and 1993, the Israeli Government criminalized the public display of the Palestinian Flag in Gaza and the West Bank. To work around this restriction, Palestinians used the watermelon, a fruit with the flag’s colors, as a symbolic substitute. Today, numerous Jewish individuals have started wearing the watermelon kippah to express their backing for a free Palestinian state.

This is a one size fits all pattern. Can be easily modified smaller or larger depending on preferences. Simply decrease or increase the number of rows, following established pattern.
