This is a fun project. You can make this blanket as small or as large as you want. The more squares you do, the larger blanket you’ll make. There are photos to help guide you through some of the lesser known applications. I’ve listed the yardages needed for a square and how many squares are needed for all the sizes of blankets to make it easier for you to figure out how much yarn you will need to make the size you want.

Stitches used and abbreviations:

Ch - chain stitch
St - stitch
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
MR - magic ring (if you do not like to use this, ch 2 and make the stitches in the first ch)
Inv sl st - invisible slip stitch
FO - Fasten off
Chains at the beginning of rows DO NOT count as a stitch, except when doing the green round..
2hdc = 2 half double crochets in the same stitch
Hdc 2 = half double crochet in the next 2 stitches

This pattern is a beginner pattern.
Finished square will be approx 5” square.
