Watermelon Patch Cowl
As summer begins, I can’t help but knit with the colors that say ‘summer’ to me the best… watermelon colors of bright green, pinks, and white. The Watermelon Patch Cowl is a fingering weight cowl made with 65%cashmere/ 35% silk yarn. I used @MissBabsYarns in Sojourn. It’s a simple brioche pattern with lots of easy color changes which create a pattern that looks complicated but really isn’t. It is kitten soft and luxurious. The drape is gentle and comfy.
This is my favorite go-to cowl for the whole summer.
DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner. Knitting in the round, brioche stitch, color changing. SIZE: One size fits most.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 38” in circumference x 11.5” in height. GAUGE: 18 st and 24 rnds = 4” on US3 needles in brioche stitch. Gauge isn’t critical. YARN: I used @MissBabsYarns in Sojourn. I used most of the main color and half of CC1, CC2, and CC3.
