The Watermelon Wall Hanging is a quick and easy crochet pattern! There is a FREE version available on my blog!

Materials:

• 250 yards, bulky weight (5) yarn. I used Loops & Threads Eco-Brights (5.3oz/150g-255 yds/236m) in colours: White (85yds), Green (170yds), & Bright Pink (765yds).
• I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Black for the seeds.
• US Size K crochet hook (6.5 mm)
• Scissors
• Darning Needle (bent end works best for attaching seeds)
• Dowel / Stick

Gauge:
12 stitches x 12 rows = 4” square in HDCBP

Stitches / Abbreviations - US Standard:

• CH – Chain
• SC – Single Crochet
• SCBP – Single Crochet Between Posts
• FHDC – Foundation Half Double Crochet
• HDC – Half - Double Crochet
• HDCBP – Half Double Crochet Between Posts
• HDC2TOG – Half - Double Crochet Decrease (special STS)
• SLST – Slip Stitch
• ST(S) – Stitch(es)
• MR – Magic Ring

Notes:
Eco Brights Yarn is on the thin side of Bulky (5). I believe you could get away with using a worsted weight (4) yarn. Or substitute any weight yarn you have available. Just be aware this may change the finished size of the project. It’s always best to do a gauge swatch before beginning.
