This very warm, intricately cabled pocket scarf, contains two distinct cable stitches. The focal cable is a broad interesting cable lace stitch, while the side cables (also used in the pockets) are thinner and more delicate. Together, they make a warm and cozy pocket scarf.
This fun scarf can be worn in the fall instead of a jacket or a very warm scarf over a winter coat in the dead of winter.
The patch pockets ensure that the scarf will stay exactly how you want it.
Both stitches are both charted and written out line by line for this pattern.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cabling .)
There are instructions contained within the pattern for a standard rectangular scarf as well as a turtleneck scarf. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. In addition, there are instructions on how to make this a thinner and lighter scarf, if you prefer the more conventional sizing.
The scarf was expertly test knitted by Leslie Shattes. It was knit with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted in colorway, Curie.
