Fit:
The Watson Toque is a fisherman’s style hat and is intending to be worn above the ears. It comes in 4 sizes, as follows:

Sizes Small (Medium) Large (X-Large) are intended to fit a head circumference* of 54 (56) 58 (60) cm, or 21.25 (22) 22.75 (23.5) in.

To measure for the correct size, measure the circumference of your head at the point just above your eyebrows.

Needles & Notions
For this project, you will need:

  • 5mm 16” circular needles & 5mm
  • Double pointed needles OR 5mm 40” circular needles for magic loop (or size required to obtain gauge)
  • 4 stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge:
19 sts x 26 rows = 4” / 10cm on 5mm needles, or size needed to obtain gauge (after blocking)

Yarn & Yardage:
You will need approximately 110 (130) 150 (170)m of the following:

  • Cascade Pacific or
  • Yarnalia Wooly or
  • Northbound Knitting Merino Worsted or
  • any other worsted weight yarn of your choice.
