Can’t afford the pattern price? This pattern is also available for free on the Yeti Yarns website.
This hat is worked inside-out, which makes it reversible - it’s like two hats in one! It was designed to work well for mini skeins of fingering-weight yarn, or for that crazy variegated yarn that looks so gorgeous in the skein, but you just can’t find the right pattern. Pair it with a coordinating solid DK, and this is the right pattern.
Materials
At least 55 grams or 140 yards of Yeti Yarns Drop Bear DK yarn
At least 25 grams or 100 yards of Yeti Yarns Sasquatch Sock yarn
Size US9 needles for adult size (I prefer circular, but you may like DPNs)
Finishing tools
Gauge
21 stitches of ribbing, unstretched= 4”
While gauge is not vital, changes in gauge may result in differing amounts of yarn used. I think it’s always better to have more yarn than you need than less so that you don’t run out part-way through.
Shout Outs
While there are too many people in my fiber life to thank and name individually, I’d love to thank Bree for teaching me the magic loop method (SO helpful), and Bridget (DrawFour Designs) for helping me both with my decrease conundrum and for making sure this whole pattern made sense.
This is my first pattern, and as such there may be some minor glitches. If you have any questions or comments about this pattern, please feel free to reach out to me via Ravelry (Yeti Yarns), email (yetiyarnsmn@gmail.com), or message me on Instagram (@yetiyarns). Feel free to sell and share any items you’ve made using this pattern - you worked hard to knit them!
