This hat is perfect for a sunny day at the beach!!! You can make a frilly, wavy, or flat-brimmed hat. Feel free to experiment with different colors! (please tag me on IG @punk.crochetier so I can see your lovely creations!)

The pattern can be used to make hats in many sizes (20”, 21.5”, 23”, and 24.5” circumference), and has been thoroughly tested by many lovely folks. There are also instructions to keep increasing the size to accommodate textured hair types and styles :)

The pattern is suitable for intermediate crocheters, is written in US crochet terms, and requires knowledge of tapestry crochet. Pixel grid graphs are included!

Note: The 20”, 21.5”, and 23” sizes have three waves and the 24.5” size has four waves

You’ll need:

• a yarn/tapestry needle
• worsted weight yarn (i recommend using cotton yarn) i used Lily Sugar n Cream - Color A: up to 230 yds and Color B: up to 180 yds
• crochet hook: 6.0 mm (if you crochet tightly), 5.5 mm, or 5.0 mm (if you crochet loosely), or whatever size needed to meet gauge
• stitch marker
