These simple fingerless gloves can be whipped up in no time and are a great beginner project for anyone trying to learn basic lace techniques. No thumb means no picking up stitches or shaping to worry about, though you can certainly add an afterthought thumb or improvise a thumb gusset easily enough.

This pattern runs about a medium-large, but can easily be worn by smaller hands. I’m the hand model for the pictures below and my hands are a size small. Gauge is not terribly important, but going up a needle size can easily add a little more room for larger hands.
