Wave Goodbye
by Dan Lee
’Wave Goodbye’ is a kite-shaped shawl, beginning with 3 stitches and then gradually increasing. Incorporated decreases then modify the shape into a beautiful, soaring kite.
The shawl ends with sections of a beautiful wave pattern made from dropped stitches that show off multicolour hand-dyed yarns in all their glory.
You will need to know how to cast-on, bind off, increase and decrease.
My version was knit with Wollmeise fingering yarns, in ‘Sultan’ & ‘silbrig’.
Nota Bene Rows 75 & 171 - be careful not to drop both YO’s off that sit each side of the centre stitch. Only drop one each side - the second YO will be the usual YO increase done on the reverse side.
