Casually tailored, with a deep shawl collar and cuffs, this cardigan is made for walks in the crisp autumn air, or cozy reading by the fireside.

Fronts and back are knit separately from the bottom up and seamed at the sides and shoulders. Sleeves are knit flat and seamed and feature turned back cuffs with I-cord trim. Collar bands are knit with the fronts, seamed at the back neck, and finished with I-cord trim.

SIZES: XS (S, M1, M2)(L, XL, XXL).
Finished bust measurements: 33½ (36½, 39¾, 42¾)(45¾, 48¾, 52)“.
Intended to be worn with 2-4” of ease. Fronts overlap approx 2”.

YARN: 1290 (1385, 1465, 1615)(1760, 1865, 2012) yds worsted weight wool or wool blend. Shown in madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (100% superwash merino wool) - Rain Water.
I-cord trim may be worked in contrasting color. Allow 60 - 70 yds.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) straight or circular needles. U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles for I-cord. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Stitch holders, removable stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 21 sts/29 rows = 4” (10cm) in Garter Stitch Triangles, blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include long tail cast on, make 1 increases, 3-needle bind off, sloped bind off, short rows, attached I-cord, cabling without a needle, and reading charts.
