This pattern combines a 5 cable braid front to back with gentle waves along the side. This overall design was inspired during my trip to Sabah, Borneo. I was walking along the sea wall one morning, sipping my coffee watching fishermen cast their nets into the gentle waves of the South China Sea. That scene stuck with me for many months and I drew upon that inspiration for this hat. I hope you enjoy knitting it.
