Waves In The Sand Scarf Shawl
This is a quick project to knit, using size 15 US (10 mm) knitting needles and a fingering weight or sport weight yarn.
SIZES
Two sizes are actually available and they depend on the bind off that you will use when finished.
--The tighter bind off will give you a garment that will be approximately 64” x 14,“ measured laying on a flat surface.
--The stretchy bind off, described in pattern, will give you a shawl about 88’ x11,” measured laying on a flat surface. The stretchy bind off will give you a picot edge.
YARN
--For the Black/white sample shown, I used the Fiber Lady’s fingering weight bamboo yarn.
--For the pink sample shown, I used Handspun bamboo, spun at a sport weight gauge.
My testers used cotton, acrylic and wool fingering weight yarns. All look good. My testers for this project are a group of knitters at my local library.
