As we go through life we experience various changes along the way that we must adapt to. These changes in our life are like waves, they roll into our life, we deal with them and they roll out of our lives. Each step of the way is a learning process for us and as we try to roll through these waves of change in a positive way, and we shape the direction of our lives.

My Waves of Change scarf is a right-angle triangle that has a main single-color section starting at the bottom point, followed by a second section where you add another color and knit a chevron stitch stripe pattern.

You will need about 680 yards of fingering or sock weight yarn, 430 yards of color 1, and 250 yards of color 2. You will use color 1 yarn for the main stockinette section of the scarf and both color 1 and color 2 yarn for the chevron stripe section. The chevron stripe stitch pattern is an easy two-row-repeat.

You can use either US 5 or US 6 needles. The scarf will be slightly larger knitted on US 6 needles. But you can decide which stitch look you prefer. The scarf shown was knitting on US 5 needles.

So, find your two perfect colors of fingering weight yarn, think back on your life and knit your own personal waves of change.
