Fun and easy pattern to use up yarn leftovers!
While I like zigzags and waves on their own, I think making a wrap with just allover zigzag or wave pattern would be a bit boring, so I came up with the pattern that combines the two. Multicolored rounded waves are separated by pointy solid zigzags. You can use selfstriping yarn for the waves too. In fact, you can use ANY yarn, whatever you have in your stash, no matter how little. Just use it all up!

Materials: fingering- or sport-weight yarn; approximately 1/3 of solid, and 2/3 of all other colors for the waves. For the prototype on photo, I used 240 g of fingering-weight (it is light and airy cashmere, so it is fingering weight by yardage, but knits more like sport-weight by volume and gauge). It measures approx 40 cm wide and 240cm long. If you’re using classic fingering-weight yarn, make it at least 5 repeats wide as the gauge is likely to be smaller. 4mm needles should be OK for fingering yarn; 4.5mm will work for sport-weight (again, you can change that, depending on your taste & tension).
