This pattern works from the bottom-up and one leg at a time. The leg cuffs are worked using the slip-stitch method. The legs are worked flat and then connected at the top so that they are open as you work the rest of the romper. Add snaps at the end to close the legs and allow easy diaper access.

This is sized for ~0-4 months (babies pictured are ~12lbs and 2months old)—feel free to play around with gauge and counts to size up for larger babies.

The pattern calls for two different colors. You can easily make two rompers with reverse coloring with one ball of each color.

Note: This pattern always works into the back loops of chains, except on the foundation rows of the leg ribs. This gives the romper its striped and ribbed effects and makes the fabric stretchier.
