This shawl is based on Valborg tablecloth from Knitted Lace book by Sonja Esbensen and Anna Rasmussen

Silk or rayon blend yarns would be good choices for a Wavy Fantasies Shawl as they produce lustrous fabric with colors playing on “waves”. I recommend yarn with 500-550 m per 100 g. Yardage needed for this shawl will vary depending on the yarn weight, your personal knitting tension, and on how many repeats you choose to knit. You may need 600-800 m or more.
I recommend making 5, or 6, or even 7 repeats – this way you get an ample shawl that will stay on your shoulders without sliding off.
