This lacy cap is a perfect little something for summer time wear. Slightly oversized, it loosely fits a medium sized adult head. The simple lace pattern forms a wave that runs around your head. The cap shown in this pattern is made with sweaterkits.com Pure Silk Yarn, hand-dyed 100% silk.

It is knit flat using short rows, and then grafted together to form a seamless cap.

I recommend using Sport to DK weight yarns containing silk, rayon, cotton, linen or hemp.

The cap uses 100 m (110 yd) of yarn. If you are changing the size of the cap, please allow about 15% more yarn for a larger size, and 10% less for a smaller size.
