If wanted you can fold up the large rib to make a rim. I folded up an inch and run some thin elastic around then folded up another inch and run some thin elastic around to hold it. Then when you put it on fold the rim back again so that it stands out. The thin elastic holds it all together and makes it very secure on the head.
