WAY HOME Hungarian vest
This vest was designed with a slight resemblance to the traditional Hungarian female vest named pruszlik which is an absolutely essential piece of a folk costume in any regions of Hungary.
The precious piece of clothing is usually fitted and tight cut (like a bodice or corset), has short / cropped length and the woven fabric is lavishly decorated with different techniques. It is originally sewn and embroidered, however, in my designing process I always try to turn this folk piece into a modern yet traditional knitted or crocheted object.
A white cotton blouse with loose-cut long sleeves is the best match. Make your own vest and enjoy!

Structure
The vest consists of 36 blocks. They are joined together by sewing after a one-by-one wet blocking process. You can choose other joining method as well (jaygo or any crochet stitch), but obviously it will result in a bit different surface and look.
