The Wayside Shawl Wrap is a warm hug to the heart. Using a more unique construction, it encourages knitters to visualize a different way of working this shawl, hence, the name “Wayside”. It’s a different way, worked from one side first, then the rest of the shawl following, to become a long crescent shape. Because of its generous length, it’s a hybrid between a shawl and a wrap, something extra warm to wrap yourself or a loved one with.

Simple yet elegant lace details mark the beginning of where to knit, and the rest is meditative garter stitch striped with a contrasting colour. Subtly intricate braids are also worked thoughtfully throughout this pattern, making it a delight to see how two strands of yarn marled together look.
