This cowl was designed for Hunt Valley Cashmere’s 4-ply cashmere yarn (sport weight). It can also be made with their 8-ply yarn for an even thicker cowl. The pattern is both written and charted.

The cowl’s circumference is controlled by the number of times the 20 row section is repeated, knitter’s choice; each repeat weights approximately 1/3 oz in 4-ply cashmere. Ends are joined by seaming or 3-needle bind off, or without joining the result is a wide scarf or narrow shawl.

The white cowl has 14 repeats producing a 48” (122 cm) circumference, a height of 8” (20.3cm), and weighs 4 3/4 ounces.
