The pattern is written, for the hat construction and charted for the penguin. It is really easy for you to follow. And I give instruction on how to read it.

It’s made in 3 sizes. But you could use a dk yarn and it would shrink it again. I use stylecraft special aran to knit mine. But you can use any 4 weight that meats the gauge.
