Weaving Diamonds Toque & Cowl
I roughly sketched out the chart for this pattern the day before leaving on a trip to the mountains, desperately needing a travel project. The pattern took a few twist and turns along the way (puns intended), and ended up as a nice gender neutral hat with a matching cowl. It’s also tied to some great memories of hiking in the Rockies.

Weaving Diamonds is a pattern for winter accessories that feature paired twisted stitches. As the twisted stitches move left and right and appear to weave over each other, they leave diamond shapes in relief. The pattern includes instructions for a hat that can be knit with or without a folded brim, and a matching cowl.
