Weaving whirls
The Weaving whirls pattern is a perfect stash buster, if you have a few whirls and whirlettes lying around, and you are not sure what to do with them!
It is an upgraded and renewed version of my Boogiewooh blanket, with this one using 2 different whirls instead of just 1, and using a different technique to make this possible.
The blanket is made using overlay moasaic crochet with tapestry elements, to give the colorful “weaved” look.
My blanket meassures approximately 100 x 120 cm, but the pattern comes with instructions on how to adjust the size.
This pattern has a very simple repeat, which makes it easy to follow, and beginner friendly if you are new to this technique.
Pattern includes both a chart and written instructions. Pattern also includes both written and picture tutorials for the tapestry overlay mosaic technique, and a double border which will finish off your blanket beautifully, and eliminate the need to weave in any ends.
Yarn used:
2 x Scheepjes whirl in the colour of your choice (pictures show Cotton candy man + Sherbet rainbow).
3 x Scheepjes whirlette in the color of your choice (pictures show liquorice).
Yarn suggestions and amount for a bigger blanket can be found in the info file of the pattern.
