I am a huge fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly series. This shawl was inspired by the black, loomed flower shawl worn by the character Inara in the episode “Trash” seen here. Instead of making loomed flowers, I adapted the spider web crochet lace motif to look a bit more flower-like. I did not include instructions for fringe that would be needed to make it more screen-accurate.
