“Web Of Friendship”
This pattern has been designed around yarns dyed by ‘Family Tree Yarns’, monthly book club.
This month was ‘Charlottes Web’ and using a full skein dyed in colours inspired by the book and a mini skein this design has been born.
Using just a single skein to create the main piece, I wanted to incorporate a section of lacy knitting to represent the web belonging to Charlotte and then create a rafter section depicting the barn wall and roof of where the story takes place.
Its knitted on the slant to depict the barn roof timbers and I have used a little of the contrast yarn to create a spider brooch that can be used to fasten the scarf, to add a sense of fun to the design.
Its suitable for any age fan of the book.
the knitting gauge is 14 stitches by 20 rows over a 2” square using the rafter section of the pattern
