This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It is made up of a fairly intricate lace stitch that is virtually reversible. The lace stitch, which is one of the lessor known ones is both written out line by line, and charted.
The final size is 22 inches by 74 inches. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)
The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace (carried doubled) in the colorway, Brick. The yardage requirements reflect carrying a lace weight doubled, but a sport weight or heavy fingering weight yarn could easily be substituted. In that case the yardage would be half of the amount shown.
The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Deb Terrio, who can be contacted at: jstdt3t@yahoo.com, and is known on Ravelry as “jstdt3t.”
