This knitted Wedding Cake is a wonderful keepsake for that special day. The cake and the doll toppers are knitted predominantly in stockinette stitch, with increases and decreases for shaping. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cake and dolls are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, a 4 inch polystyrene cake dummy, and beads to decorate.

SIZES
One size only - The bride and groom are 10cm and 9cm tall respectively, and the cake is 8cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
