This super-easy, bottom-up beanie was designed for use in the Wabi Sabi Dr. Who knit-a-thon which will take place in the store on October 26, 2019 (Ottawa, Ontario) and benefit the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The hat pattern is designed to fit premature babies, as indicated by the weights rather than ages (as that is a more useful measurement). The pattern is free to use, but if you are not using it to knit for charitable donations to your own local hospital, the designer encourages you to consider a donation to your nearest children’s hospital to honour the spirit of the knit-a-thon.

The pattern is colour coded to help knitters use their correct sizing, and there is a ruler at the bottom of the pattern to help with measurements.
