Charming and clever, the Wee Cottage Tissue Box Cover offers a year ‘round knitting and fulling project perfect for yourself or a gift. The cottage is quickly knitted and fulled and the embellishing is as plain or fancy as you decide whether using needle felting or embroidery techniques. Once finished, place a boutique style tissue box inside and pull the first tissue through the opening in the chimney to mimic smoke curling skyward.
Pattern includes instructions for knitting and fulling the cottage and roof/chimney plus suggestions for embellishing as shown with a wool or felt door and details added with wool yarn or roving in whichever technique you decide. Extras may be added in the form of beads, brads, lace, buttons, etc. Scraps work well.
The whole project takes very little yarn and acts as a blank canvas for you to color and embellish as desired. Create one or a whole village!
