wee Melia
Wee Melia is a cozy and practical jacket that’s also, in red, great fun for dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood. Worked from the top of the hood down and with borders very little finishing is required. The cabled honeycomb pattern adds warmth and structure and is very easy to work efficiently without a cable needle. The single button closure makes life easy when the wearer is trying to wriggle away or is determined to dress herself. The stable border and generous a line would also make adding a zipper if desired a simple matter. And yes, the hood really is almost as long as the body in the smaller sizes!

Double knitting (DK) weight yarn with good elasticity, wool or wool blends are ideal.
