Wee Mouse
by Ginny Sturdy
This pattern to knit a small mouse was inspired by the poem “To a Mouse”, by Robert Burns. The mouse is knitted in 4-ply, and I have recommend using slightly fluffy wool, which will make your mouse more realistic. A mouse only takes 15g of wool, and a tiny bit of pink for the ears, nose and toes, so is a great way to use up your oddments. You will also need a pair of 2.75mm doublepoint needles. The mouse’s body is knitted flat, with short rows for shaping, and a single seam up the tummy. Although I suspect like me you will be able to stop at one mouse, and before you know it you will be overrun with them. The finished mouse is approx 5 inches long, not including the tail.
