This sweet wee fellow is the perfect size for tiny hands to hold. He also fits nicely into a pocket, purse, or school bag, making him the ideal traveling companion.

With just a small amount of yarn, a handful of stuffing, and some basic stitches, you’ll soon have your own wee mousie to keep you--or someone you love--company.

The mousie’s arms and legs are knitted separately, set aside, and then knitted right into the stitches of the body (instead of attaching them afterwards). The rest of the mousie is knit in one continuous piece from the bottom up. The body, head, and ears are knitted in the round, with shaping happening through increases and decreases. This approach takes the guesswork out of where to place the limbs and ears, keeps the head from sagging, and makes sure that everything stays firmly attached --even during tugging matches.

The mousie’s tail is the only piece that is sewn on separately. Eyes and nose are embroidered at the very end.
