This super-quick project uses scraps that you already have on hand, left over from all those Halloween socks you made last year! The witchy stockings are knit cuff-down and the hat is knit brim-up. The size of each charm is variable, depending on what size needle you choose to use. For instance, for the hats, I used a size 2 (US) to make a 3” hat and a size 0 to make a 2” hat. I used a size 0 (US) for the stockings to make a 4” tall charm. Each charm uses anywhere from 3g to 7 g of yarn (up to 30 yds).

To knit this pattern you will need:

  1. A basic understanding of sock knitting
  2. Experience in creating stripes (optional, only if you’ll be doing that)
  3. A basic understanding of DPN or Magic Loop knitting; and
  4. The abillity to do chain stitch crochet (for the garland chain)

For the chain, I used some leftover tan-colored yarn that I love because it’s the same color as sisal twine, so it looks very rustic and cute when used for the garlands.
