Create your own Wee Worry Monster!

This is a mini version of my original Worry Monster pattern. Rather than the mouth opening up, it has a pouch and can still fit in worries! This mini version is more straight-forward and works up much quicker, making it a great project for fairs and markets.

Feeling anxious or worried? Take a moment to write (or draw) your worry on a piece of paper, fold it up and feed it to the Wee Worry Monster! This can also be used as a tool to open up discussions about anxiety and mental health, especially with young people.

The size of the completed Monster depends on the yarn and hook size used. The Monsters in the pictures were made using aran (#4 worsted weight) yarn and 3.5mm hook with 16mm glitter safety eyes and are approx 10cm tall.

This pattern has been written using US crochet terminology. Skills required include making a magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, increasing and decreasing, chain, slip stitch, bobble stitch and changing yarn colour.
