Weebee Soft Baby Bunny & Bear
Originally made as Christmas gifts for my 18 month old twin nephew and niece, Bunny and Bear were designed to be floppy, soft and extra safe with embroidered features. Easy for little hands to hold and comfortable to snuggle up with.
Both Bunny and Bear work up fast - made all in one go from the feet upwards with the arms crocheted on as you go - only the ears need sewing on!
When I make mine with dk weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook they stand at around 9 inches tall – yours may differ in size due to yarn brand and weight, your chosen hook size (use whatever you need to create nice tight stitches) and your own personal gauge. Different yarn weights can easily be used to create large or smaller versions.
To save tears if he or she ever gets lost, you may have to make two!
This 7 page pattern includes the base arms, legs and body and then the ears for Bunny and Bear - one of my testers also made a suggestion for cat ears which I have added to the pattern!
All of my other dolls and clothing patterns can be found here in my Ravelry store.
Due to the unexpected but wonderful popularity of my Weebee dolls and clothing patterns there is now a dedicated Facebook group with almost 13,000 members which you can find here.
The Weebee dolls are named after my youngest niece Phoebe - when she was first born my daughter and Phoebe’s older sister couldn’t say her name properly yet and she has been nicknamed ‘Weebee’ ever since.
This pattern has been tested by several wonderful members of my Facebook group (see above for link) to ensure that this pattern is error free and ready for sale! So if you find any errors whatsoever in this pattern please do not hesitate to contact me and I will amend as soon as possible.
