I’ll walk you through all the steps to create a sweater with an elegant, yet not complicated stitch pattern that’s also quick to knit.

The Weekend Glow sweater is created for effortless knitting in the round with simple knits and purls, and minimal switching between them. All we do - is knit one round, and in the next one we work a 5x1 rib stitch. This pattern creates a nice ribbed look without using many purl stitches, making it easier to knit.

The raglan sweater features a seamless top-down construction (so beloved by beginners) and no Short Rows. Instead, like ancient sculptors created their masterpieces from marble, we’ll gradually shape the yoke for a graceful curve near the sleeves and open neckline.

The name “Weekend Glow” brings to mind lazy weekend mornings, basking in warm sunshine, feeling relaxed and happy.

♥ SKILL LEVEL: Designed for knitters who know how to knit and purl. The pattern offers step-by-step instructions and a full video tutorial for creating this sweater with confidence.

♥ PATTERN. Instant download PDF file in both cm and inches. Additionally, I’ve prepared a Knitting Project Planner exclusively for the top-down raglan sweater.

♥ LANGUAGE: English (use ChatGPT to translate it into your native language).

♥ METHOD: This sweater is crafted seamlessly using circular needles, worked from the top down. It begins at the neckline and progresses into a yoke. To shape the neckline, we’ll add a flap to the back section before dividing for the body and sleeves, which are then finished separately.

♥ 8 SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.
This sweater is designed with approx. 7-12 cm/ 3-5 inches of positive ease.
I am wearing a size S and, I am 168 cm tall (5’6’’) with a 89 cm (35 inches) bust circumference.

♥ YARN - Worsted weigh yarn

I used Drops “Lima” yarn (65% Wool, 35% Alpaca, Worsted, 50 g/ 100 m or 1.8 oz/109 yards) for the Beige (color #0206) and Ivory in the video tutorial (color #0100) sweaters.

You will need 981(XS) - 1090(S) - 1199(M) - 1308(L)- 1417(XL) - 1526(2XL) - 1635(3XL) - 1744(4XL) yards.
