Only knits and purls are needed to make this visually intricate, but easy to knit, woven-looking motif. This scarf, as knitted, is a bit wider, which is how I like my scarves, but you can decrease the width and increase the length for a leaner, longer scarf. I called this Wefen as that is Old English for “to weave”.
