My friends are weight lifters so I knew exactly what I wanted to add as a motif to the cardigan I made for their baby. This little strong baby adds the perfect touch to this snuggly warm cardigan, perfect as an extra layer.

The Weight Lifter Cardigan is knitted on 3.75mm and 4mm needles using DK yarn. It is worked in separate pieces and then seamed and the button and neckband knitted on in one piece. The Weight Lifter motif is worked using the intarsia method on the front sides and back of the cardigan from the chart.
