This pattern is for a Welcome banner for your door. This would be a great decoration for any dog lover on your Christmas list, or as a housewarming gift. This pattern features filet crochet style, and has a dowel rod at the top for ease of hanging. The pattern contains both the chart, and written instructions. I’ve also linked youtube videos that explain how to filet crochet with 3 dc squares, as well as how to do the chainless foundation which is what I prefer, but not required for this pattern. Lastly, there is a video explaining how to loop yarn around the dowel rod if you prefer that, or you can follow the written instructions to make it to loop through like in the picture.

If you’re like me, and love the look of filet crochet, but do not like the thin yarn and tiny hook, then this pattern is for you. It’s great for beginners, and really makes a wonderful gift! If you don’t have any Bernat Baby sport, I also recommend any sport weight yarn. You can use a size E or F hook, just make sure you have the same gauge as me, or it might come out larger/smaller.
