This little leaf edging is from ca. 1892 Weldon’s Practical Needlework, vol. 5, p.10. There are only 12 stitches per row. There’s an 8-row repeat with simple wrong side rows (sl1 p-wise, k1, p10).
The swatch is 1.25” wide at gauge. It took me about an hour to knit 9 inches of this edging.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, YO, k2tog, SSK and bind off in knit stitch.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

19 yards of #10 crochet thread will make 10 inches of this edging in the stated gauge.
