QUICK TO KNIT JUMPER IN THE NEW STRIPE Becoming Design for the Business Girl
THE busy girl will be delighted wiih this cardigan. It is such an easy pattern, worked in a time-saving wool, that it will be a recreation to make it.
MATERIALS.
14 ozs. of totem wool in any popular shade wool; a pair each of Aero knitting-needles No. 4 and No. 6 [Old UK], 5 buttons and a leather belt.
TENSION AND MEASUREMENTS.
Worked at a tension of 4 sts. to the inch in width on the plain knitting, and using No. 4 needles; the following measurements are attained after light pressing: Across the back, 17 inches; across each front at the same place, 8 inches; front length from shoulder-seam to lower edge, 23 inches; back length, 21 inches; side-seam, 15 inches; sleeve-seam, 17 inches. (Note that the ribbed pattern in this thick wool slightly contracts the work, hence the smaller size than the tension would imply.)
