I’m working on a sockweight version of these for later in the year so if you’re interested keep an eye out!

Thick snuggly house socks, worked in worsted weight yarn. Inspired by Welsh Tapestry fabric accessories of the 1960’s.

The socks are worked in the round, cuff down, with heel flap. The cuff and leg are one size relaxed fit. The foot section can be made in small, medium or large. The toe is grafted using Kitchener stitch (instructions provided).

A solid main colour yarn and multicoloured contrasting yarn are worked together in stranded colourwork to create the Welsh Tapestry design on the sock cuff, with the heel flap and toes worked in the contrast colour.

Instructions are given specifically for double-pointed needles, but use magic loop or other circular method if preferred.
